Awww!!! I can't believe we're almost at the tail of this trip of a lifetime! Frank and I had a loooooong grand day yesterday and we really hate to go! huhhuhuhu
I believe we are still mesmerized with the whole place!
Early that morning, Frank went out to take more shots! The tide was low so he was able to go down the octagon
| the octagon just beside our cottage at the easternmost part of the beach |
| the Little Lagen |
| the breakwater becomes visible in the morning but better be careful 'coz it's slippery |
| the view from the breakwater |
| watch your step! |
| 'til we meet again cottage #51 |
We've decided to set-up a really lovely romantic breakfast that day with all the things we fancy!!
| I like croissants very much! |
| We chose a variety of simple and colorful stuff. I even picked some flowers for the garden for that perfect feel! |
| I love Spanish Sardines! I garnished it with some santan flowers |
| pancakes and thick bacon slices! |
| don't forget the fresh fruits of course! |
| meet my plate! |
| I love simple dishes plated neatly and sprinkled with generous amounts of love! Feel the vibe of the whole table! |
| adding the finishing touches |
| Frank is a certified carnivore! I'm so envious of his metabolism! grrrr |
We will surely miss this view. The whole place is just to fresh and clean! We are truly blessed to share this experience to all of you!
| happy feet! |
| I will miss this for sure! |
3pm came and it was time for us to bid goodbyes! ahuhuhuhuhu
| Me with the 2 Franks! My partner Frank and the resident island manager Franck with a CK! |
| The whole staff was just soooo nice! Special mention to Angel, Grace, Abby and the kind gentleman at the omelet/grill station! =) |
| We forgot his name but we would like to commend him for working hard and for the fast service! Keep it up! |
| It was really hard to let go........ They were very very warm! |
| Some of the guests even got teary-eyed. Like us, I know they also loved the whole experience and appreciated the hospitality of the staff |
The over-all experience was truly something which Frank and I will never forget. Traveling to places indeed educates and helps a person grow more. Various life lessons, nature appreciation, realizations, and meeting people from all walks of life: these are the things which you will never learn and experience inside a classroom!
We are not privileged people Frank and I. We weren't fed with silver spoons yet here we are, savoring all the best that life has to offer by using our innate creative gifts and continuously dreaming and daring to be different. To sum it all up, I believe it's safe to say that we just choose to be happy and be ourselves... yeah
Life changing... yeah! That's how I would describe it. We're never the same.
It made me realize how truly beautiful my country is...that we have so much more to be thankful for. With this I am more motivated to promote my country more. There is sooo much more to discover, more moments to capture, people to meet and stories to tell. The sad reality is that, not all Pinoys realize this... and they never really dare to go or venture into new things because I noticed that Pinoys are too stubborn, always playing safe... waiting... Waiting for the fruits to fall instead of plucking the good which is at their fingertips.
As for us modern story tellers, the most logical thing to do is just enjoy the ride and carry on! =)
Thank you so much El Nido Resorts for preserving the beauty of Palawan for generations to enjoy!
